Children Are Under Attack

What would you do if someone or something threatened your children? I know what I would do. I would throw myself in front of my children, blocking whatever was coming for them.

I am telling you that our children are being threatened … their childhoods, their innocence, their sense of wellbeing are being attacked. Where is this attack coming from? It is coming from our TVs, computers, and phones. Our children are witnesses to strife – the latest in D.C. where

adults fighting against each other. They are viewing the same scenes replayed over and over. I have said it before, and I will say it again – children think differently than adults. Young children think that one scene repeatedly shown over and over are many different events happening one at a time without end. This is scary and it is traumatizing.

We all will continue to support the concepts of "Making the World a Better Place" and “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself”. We’ll continue to look for opportunities to make others’ lives better by contributing to food banks and collections.

This is not enough. You need to turn off the TVs, and news feeds, and put on headphones whenever your children are nearby. They see, they hear, but they are too young to process. Throw yourselves in front of them, blocking the attack on their childhoods, their innocence, and their sense of wellbeing. Protect them from the barrage of strife over which they have no control. They will grow up soon enough. Right now they deserve to just be children.
